cape point nature reserve field trip 2013

oh my gosh!!!!...no words can describe what a day this was!!!!. i had the most fun time of my life!!!!!....the weather was super crazy. first it was all quite and calm, and then suddenly it started raining!!...and then everyone started running towards the bus to go and keep warm and dry. the drive was suuupper long and a bit tiring but it was fun. we got to see a bit more of our country. it was more than what i expected but UNFORTUNATELY we had a time limit for everything. that was a buzz kill. i got to see thaakirahs family lokl (the baboons). they were so well behaved while roaming around. we were told not to give them food or approach them because they are "dangerous wild animals and are attracted by food". baboons that recieve food from animals become aggressive and have to be destroyed. if you feed them you will be fined.

when i looked around all i saw was green and a bit of color from the plants. i saw a dassie and lots of birds and insects. i even saw a tiny little snake basking in the sun because he had just eaten. and the caterpillars...was so amazing, all the beautiful colors and sizes. a bit frightening though. i googled some of them and found that they are actually poisonous. they move kind of slow and stand up when provoked and like their spikes or hairs also stand up. i wanted to take as many pics as possible but my memory card was full!!....SUPER SAD BUZZ!!!.. but i got my friends to take lots of pics of me. they did not upload all the pics though.

 this is a group photo that we took at the base of the mountain thing that ma and tershlin and a few other friends decided to climb. oh my hat that was so much fun!!.. the wind at the top of the mountain! i swear to you i thought i was going to fly away!!..and just as we were to go around the mountain the fog came over and the lecturer told us to go down. BUZZ KILL!!!...

the best part of taking pictures is being in them lol. as you can see in the previous two. it was random but i was there, not necessarily BOMBING the photos as some people would say. the best part about going on a trip is the FOOD of course!!!!! take a look

aaaaaahhhhh....caramel corn lol...and i also had boerewors, two, with onions and fruit chtney on them i also had 3 pieces of home made pie and two bottles of juice, a small tiny chocolate and sweets. 

and then we went up to the lighthouse. what an amazing, breathtaking view. you could actually see where the two oceans meet. atlantic and indian. and then we had to take the trip down to THE POINT. i only went just before the point and had to stay with my friend because she was tired. and then the people said that im not a true adventurer. uhm excuse me im a very considerate friend. but anyway we had a great time and most of the people woke up sick the next day\morning due to the weather. loves the peoples that shared the day with me, couldn't have asked for better friends..love you guys!!!
